Rare Lufthansa shipping ships 1972 BMW to Japan
- Luffhansa Cargo recently moved the BMW Oldtimer that was fully restored from Prague to Tokyo, where the iconic car in the Japan Marathon Islands – a march of 7000 km celebrates the history of cars.
- With only a few hundred models believed to be there, the car is a valuable part of the gesture of motorsport.
Lufthansa Cargo recently supervised the transfer of the fully restored BMW Oldtimer, which was fully restored for the year 1972 from Prag to Frankfurt (FRA) and to Tokyo (NRT), where the car is scheduled to participate in the Japan Marathon Islands, a march of 7000 km starting in Sapporo.
“This is not just any old car. The model has been produced in a limited group of only 2,999 units, and today, only 150-300 are believed to be running throughout Europe. It is hard-to-narrowed by a private owner, the car represents a rare jewel of motorcycle heritage.”
