The baltic index rose at a larger ship level, but posted a weekly decline
The Baltic Exchange Baltic Sea Transport Index rose on Friday, supported by higher rates for larger ships, but towards weekly losses due to a decline in all ship segments at the beginning of the week.
The main index, which are factors in the tariff for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, increased 16 points, or 0.8%, to 1,979 points. The contract dropped 2.3% for a week.
The Castesize Index rose 19 points, or 0.7%, to 2,835 points, but fell by around 3.1% for this week.
The average daily income for capacity ships, which usually transports 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, adds $ 158 to $ 23,513.
Iron Futures ore rises for the fourth successive session on Friday and is heading for the second weekly profit, as a softer dollar and higher betting than the cutting of US interest rates overshadowing the recovery of demanded demand in leading Chinese consumers after the military parade.
The Panamax index rose 44 points, or 2.5%, to 1,802 points, with a contract down around 2.4% every week.
The average daily income for Panamax ships, which usually carry 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, increased $ 395 to $ 16,221.
Among the smaller ships, the Supramax index dropped 5 points, or 0.3%, to 1,456 points, the lowest level in a week. The contract dropped 0.6% for this week.
