McConnell Trump is challenging to enhance defensive spending after changing “war”

Senator Mitch McConnell, Chairman of the Senate Defense Committee, challenges President Trump to follow up on his executive order to rename the Ministry of Defense “Ministry of War” with a greater increase in the Pentagon’s budget to deter threats from China, Russia and other opponents.

“If we call it the Ministry of War, it is better to prepare the army to prevent wars and win it already. [former Presidents] “Carter or Biden.”

“Peace be upon strength,” McConnell said, not only the brand renamed, “said McConnell.

McConnell expressed his disappointment in requesting a budget for the defense of Trump in May, and he warned while the White House’s proposal will expand “material neglect” of the Biden administration for the needs of defensive spending.

“The Trump administration was absent from a tremendous opportunity to respond to its chronic investment for its predecessor in the US military with strong financing for a full year [fiscal 2025]. Now, it appears that the Trump administration’s FY26 defense budget will double will double the Biden administration’s negligence for the stark national security threat challenges that they are talking about with a great warning.

The White House budget office said that his proposal would increase defensive spending by 13 percent to reach $ 1.01 trillion in the fiscal year 2026, but the Republican party critics in Capitol Hill said that he reached this goal by withdrawing $ 119 billion in additional defense funds listed in the large and beautiful bill (OBBA).

Republican defense argues that the annual defense budget should not depend on the financing included in OBBA, which they said should complete strong annual defense credits.

NBC News said on Thursday that the Pentagon is considering renting parts of the Marine Infantry base in the Bandalton camp in southern California to help finance the missile defense project in the Trump dome.

The base covers more than 125,000 acres.
