Drewry: Intra-Asian Container Index Rises 11%
The Drewry intra-Asian container index (IACI), the weighted average of regional spot container transportation rates, increased 11% in two weeks to 15 Apr 25 to $ 668 per 40 feet.
Assessment of Intra-Asia Container Index for April 1525
The intra-Asian container index (IACI) increased 11% to $ 668 per 40 feet containers in the first half of April. This marks the first increase after seven decreased two consecutive weeks which began in mid-December.
The Drewry Intra-Asia Container Index Report (IACI) reports the tariff of transporting actual spot containers for the main intra-Asian trade route. Index, which will be updated every two weeks, consists of 18 specific route indexes representing the route of individual delivery and composite index. All indexes are reported in USD per 40 feet.
