The capital’s representative presses Trump officials at the cost of the National Guard “Collective Publishing”
Press Del. Eleanor Holmes Norton (DD.C) to Trump administration officials about the cost of deploying the National Guard to the country’s capital, as well as the legal scope and standards of the operation.
Norton said on Monday in a statement: “The capital did not request or agree to the collective publication of the National Guard forces, who were recently allowed to carry weapons in the province, although the crime rate in the capital is at the lowest level of 30 years,” Norton said on Monday in a statement.
“The principle of our democracy is that the army does not participate in enforcement of the civil law, and it is not trained to do so in any case, which endangers the service and the public at risk. I urge you to end this grave abuse of power and immediately withdrawing forces.”
In a letter to Defense Minister Beit Higseth and General Stephen Nordosus, head of the National Guard Office, Norton launched its strong opposition to spreading the administration and describing it as “raw confirmation of power on more than 700,000 DC residents of their professional by them, the most important of which are black and Berun.”
I asked officials to respond to a list of questions related to publishing by the end of the week, including asking about the cost of the operation, the forces’ authority “stopping, arresting or arresting persons” and “imposing the laws of the United States or the boycott of Colombia”.
I also asked about the use of the force of the forces for the forces, the training they received, and the comprehensive task, and if the forces are “subject to the laws”.
The hill arrived at the Pentagon and the National Guard for comment.
Trump has deployed hundreds of members of the province’s guard earlier this month and became the Federation of Local Police Department as part of a federal acquisition aimed at taking strict measures against the crime. Multiple countries – including Mississippi, Ouhayu and West Virginia – have also sent employees.
Democrats sharply criticized continuous efforts, and city officials have shared data that has already shown the crime in recent years in multiple categories.
However, Trump has challenged these numbers, accusing the city of production “fake crime numbers in order to create a wrong safety”, while defending his administration’s efforts to make the boycott “safe again.”
