HHS negligates unions representing staff in CDC, FDA, NIH and more

The Department of Health and Human Services (HHS) on Friday has been removed to deny the representation of the labor union for employees in multiple subgments and offices in offices, claiming that this step is “removing unnecessary barriers in mission-critical work”.

HHS is recognizing representation in several offices represented by the National Treasury Employees Union; American Federation of Government Employees (AFGE); National Alliance of Postal and Federal Employees; And United Automobiles, Aerospace and American Agricultural Implementation workers.

HHS spokesman Andrew Nixon said in a statement, “The move confirms that HHS resources and staff are fully focusing on the protection of the health and security of the American people.”

“President Trump’s Executive Order 14251 is removing unnecessary obstacles to the HHS mission-critical work and previously used union activities. This change strengthens our skill to respond to the threat of public health, to advance national protection and provide results for American taxpayer,” he added.

The HHS is affected by the office of the Secretary, General Counsel Office, Food and Drug Administration (FDA), Disease Control and Prevention Center (CDC), Strategic Preparation and Reaction Administration, National Institute of Infectious Diseases, National Institutes for Refugee Rehabilitation, Refugee Rehabilitation Office

The move came just a few days after the completion of the HHS 600 CDC employee, as part of the President’s Official Executive Order, signed in March.

AFG blasts the announcement that HHS has made this decision as the media, not the affected unions.

“The illegal and immoral attacks of this administration are punishing thousands of dedicated government employees on Federal activists and their workers’ unions, who serve our elders, the food we eat and the protection of the air we are breathing and now those who protect our public health,” Afz National President Everett Kelly said in a statement.

Kelly added, “Every American to tear out our contracts that benefit from the programs and services that our members offer benefits but let me clean: our union is not going anywhere,” Kelly added.
