Qatar Airways shipments provide 720 tons of life -saving aid through the Weqare program
Over the past five years, Qatar Airways, the world’s leading air freight shipping company has transported 720 tons of Bono to save life to support Airlink and 42 of its non -profit partners. The result? More than 15.5 million people arrived in 34 countries.
On this humanitarian day in the human world, Qatar Airways shipments confirmed its commitment to providing humanitarian aid through the Weqare program – an initiative that is a conscious endeavor to create a positive impact on the industry and the world, including through humanitarian aid.
In 2024, Qatar Airways shipments shipped 136 tons of critical supplies, aviation support and 16 partner NGOs in 12 countries, providing everything from basic medications and clean water supply to shelter materials. $ 2.19 million was saved in the costs of logistics services that enabled Airlink and its partners to use these funds as they were needed – by increasing humanitarian response efforts.

Commenting on their partnership, Stephanie Stege, Vice President of the Humanitarian Programs at an Airlines, said: “The partnership between the shipment of Qatar Airways and the Airlines is very important in providing rapid assistance to difficult crises, and affects our health programs, and we are proud of what we have accomplished together. For more than a third of the crises it has made over the year 15 years, all over the world.
In 2025, Qatar Airways’s shipment was recognized by the Humanicistarian Upper Award in 2025 (ATW), a testimony of its firm commitment to using its wide network and resources forever. This prize highlights the consistent efforts of the airline in providing vital aid and relief from disasters for needy societies all over the world.
In addition to Airlink, Qatar Airways shipping continues to support other charitable organizations to obtain humanitarian aid including UNHCR, UNICEF and the World Food Program. For the fiscal year from 2024 to 2025, Qatar Airways shipments transferred a total of 470,000 kg of humanitarian aid to the crisis countries.
