What is the oldest university in the world?
There are tens of thousands of universities around the world and many have long and distinct past. But which is the oldest?
Bologna is famous for its stunning beauty and stomach, but the city has another impressive historical masterpiece: the oldest university in the world. Since 1088, the University of Bologna has been a place of study and the organization has been formalized in the twelfth century.
Although the University of Bologna is the oldest official university, it is not the oldest institution of excellent learning. The title goes to the University of El Kodaoin, in Faz, Morocco. This has been working for the vast majority of his life as a mother and a university since 1963.
This was first established as a mosque by Fatima al -Faryi, the daughter of a wealthy businessman and provided Islamic education as a mother. Over time, it expanded its curriculum, including mathematics, astronomy, medicine and law, and attracting students from the wider world of Islam and beyond.
El Kodainein played an important role in the development of the Islamic world in the medieval period. The center became a vital center for the exchange of knowledge between Islamic and European scholars and helped preserve and transfer ancient Greek and Roman texts. The university’s graduates included significant figures such as Ibn Khaldun philosophers, Ibn Arabi and the Jewish philosopher, all of which were among the most important scientists and thinkers in the Middle Ages.
Meanwhile, the University of Bologna can also take some of the remarkable graduates. Its list of students includes Pope Alexander Sixth, Thomas Beck and poet Francis Pet that all went to university in the first few hundred years of college.
After being founded by Italian jurisprudents, Irrerios, in 1088, only provided a doctorate. This continued for centuries, but recently they have expanded their domain and 81.220 students for the 2017/18 school year. Of these, 6,293 were international students.

Also at the world’s oldest college, DiPagna College, founded by Cardinal Gill Alvarez de Albournez in 1985.
Soon after the University of Bologna, the University of Oxford came. There is evidence of teaching in Oxford, England, which goes back to 1096, and its history is a great reason for one of the most famous universities in the world.
The list of graduates is remarkable. Overall, Oxford 31 has trained the British Prime Minister, 20 of the Supreme Cantber, 12 Moghaddins, 27 Nobel Prize winners and 50 Nobel Prize winners.
