The edge baltic index rises as a capsizing and supramax rates.


The Transportation Index of Sea Utik Baltik, which measures the tariff for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, rises on Wednesday, with a higher rate for the Castesize and Supramax Vessel segments.
* BBDI’s main index, which tracks the tariff for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, added 8 points, or 0.4%, to 2,025 points, the highest since August 8.
* CAPESIZE Index (.BACI) rose 19 points, or 0.6%, at 3,280.
* The average daily income for capsize vessels (.batca), which usually carries a 150,000 ton cargo such as iron ore and coal, rose $ 158 to $ 27,206.
* Dalian Iron Ore Futures closed slightly, because investors wrestled with a steel production sidewalk report in North China ahead of the military parade and signs of global supply tightening.
* Among the smaller ships, the Supramax Index (.Bsis) added 7 points, or 0.5%, to 1,336. The index registered a ninth profit session in succession.
* Panamax Index (.BPNI) Loss extended for the fifth session, down 1 point, or 0.1%, at 1,594. The index reached the lowest level since July 8.
* The average daily income for Panamax ships (.BPWT), which usually carries 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, down $ 17 to $ 14,342.
