US Coastal Guard Report on Titan’s Washing Explosion
The report said that acoustic sensors and strain gauges on the board show that the shell was layered in 2022 after dives into the Titanic and causes loud noise. Rush is said to have rejected the noise, and the report shows that in 2023 no one left in the company capable of interpreting sensor data sufficiently. The company’s engineering manager left two months before the explosion.
“The power was merged into Mr. Rash,” says Neubauer. “There is no specific standards for how much no loud sound or a few noise to get you out of service. I think it was intentional. They didn’t want to get it out of service.”
This report contains numerous recommendations that increase federal oversight under divers by US companies. They also need to get permission with third -party organizations such as Lloyd’s Register or the US Transportation Office, even if they were operating in international waters such as Titan. This actually creates a shell of carbon fiber, because none of these organizations have classified a carbon fiber to date. “It does not appear to be appropriate because of the way it can cause cumulative damage over time,” says Neubauer.
Oceangate’s chief engineering manager Tony Nisen questions the blanket criticism of the carbon fiber body and its acoustic monitoring system. He points out that the problems related to the first body of Titan were partially identified using acoustic sensors and make it crush and replace it. “This was not inadequate,” he says. “Real -time monitoring was designed and intended, but for the second body they ignored it.”
“We have been prevented from commemorate the US Coast Guard for the sake of confirming what industry experts have long known about the Titan’s tragedy -” says Will Kuhnen, executive director of the Nonprofit World Submarine Organization. ” “Now the challenge is to move forward, creating a better national and international supervisory framework for immersion operations, so that the standard and sovereignty responsible for this unique and complex industry are unique and complex.”
The Coast Guard Report also deals with the search and rescue response after Titan is lost. Neubauer says that some of the organizations mentioned as emergency calls Oceangate were not aware of the Titan dive programs and the company must have a remote robotic vehicle (ROV) that could diver as depth underwater.
Although the world was searching for Titan during the four -day attempt, Neubauer was skeptical that it could have succeeded.
“Even if we finally found it under the 96 -hour window that was advertised, I don’t think we could retrieve under or people and get caught at the bottom,” he says. The ROV, which had its remnants, was only capable of moving or releaseing Titan, especially given that less than an hour of oxygen remains.
The Coast Guard report points out that if Rush had survived, he would probably have been prosecuted for negligence. This person does not include research. However, Wired last year reported that the southern region of New York was conducting criminal investigations into Oceangate, which is probably related to its budget. The Ministry of Justice has not approved the investigation and its current situation is unclear.
Nargeolet relatives complain about Oceangate, Rush’s Estate and other people involved in the construction of Titan in Washington. Survivors of beech, coconut and paying passengers have not responded to comment requests.
Oceangate made the following statement: “We again extend our condolences to the families of those who died on June 18, 2023, and to all those affected by the disaster.
