Baltic index slipped to more than two lowest weeks

The Baltic Exchange Main Sea Transport Index, which measures tariffs for ships carrying dry bulk commodities, down to more than two weeks on Monday, burdened with lower rates in the large ship segment.

* The main index of BDI, which tracks the tariff for shipping shipping ships, Panamax and Supramax, down 48 points, or 2.38%, to 1,970 points, the lowest since July 16.

* CAPESIZE Index (.BACI) dropped by 138 points, or 4.2%, to 3,158.

* The average daily income for cotton vessels (.batca), which usually transports 150,000 tons of cargo such as iron ore and coal, dropped $ 1,144 to $ 26,187.

* The price of iron ore rises, assisted by demand close to the company, a decrease in Portside shares and healthy steel margins in leading Chinese consumers, despite expectations of increasing supply that limits further profits.

* Panamax Index (.BPNI) lost 11 points, or 0.7%, to 1,633, the lowest near four weeks.

* The average daily income for Panamax ships (.BPWT), which usually carries 60,000-70,000 tons of coal or seeds, down $ 102 to $ 14,696.

* Among the smaller ships, the Supramax index (.Bsis) rose 1 point, or 0.08%, at 1,270.
