Trump says that nuclear submarines are in the Russia region
President Trump confirmed on Sunday that nuclear submarines “are present in the region” two days after saying that the United States was putting nuclear submarines near Russia.
“I have already made a statement, and the answer is, they are in the region, yes, where they should be,” Trump told reporters while they were returning to Washington.
The President announced on Friday that he was putting the two nuclear submarines in the “appropriate areas” near Russia after “very provocative data” from former Russian President Dmitry Medvedev.
“Based on the very provocative data of the former president of Russia, Dmitry Medvedev, who is now the vice -president of the Security Council of the Russian Federation, has ordered the placement of two nuclear submarines in the appropriate areas, only in the case of these foolish and inflammatory statements more than that,”
The president added: “The words are very important, and they can often lead to unintended consequences, and I hope that this is not one of these cases.”
On Thursday, Trump issued a warning to Medvedev after criticizing the president’s foreign policy to “see his words”.
Likewise, Russia and the United States of America are not almost any work. Let’s keep it in this way, and we tell Medvedev, the former failed president of Russia, who is believed to be president, to see his words. He enters a very dangerous area! ” He said Thursday.
On Sunday, the President reiterated that his special envoy, Steve Witkev, intends to visit Russia in the coming days before plans to impose sanctions on Russia on its war with Ukraine.
