The industry expert interacts with the latest plans of Heathrow

After Hitro Airport and a competitor’s bidder presented plans for a third runway at the pioneering London Airport, the competition was sought to supervise billions of pounds wide. But the industry expert, Paul Le Blaond, warned that the speed and the need to balance environmental challenges, economic benefits, transport links and community support must be considered carefully to provide a global solution.

In the latest update, Heathrow Airport said a third runway can be built in the next decade at a cost of 21 billion pounds. However, the Arora Group – a hotel company – announced that the attempt to oversee redempator is competing with Heathrow, the current operator.

With more than 40 years of experience in this field, PAUL is advised and works with the CILT UK (Charterd Logistics and Transport and Transport Institute). The group advises the government on current aviation issues in addition to a set of things that affect logistical and transportation services.

Paul explained: “I warmly welcome the plans presented by Heathrow and others and I can see a lot of potential in all of this. Change or leave the demand behind it.”

But Paul also warned that any expansion should not fail the main stakeholders. “Any strategy to expand priority to public transportation, benefit from current transportation centers and accommodate new railway links. Decally, all environmental impacts – including noise, local air quality, and greenhouse gas emissions – must remain within legal limits. Finally, community support is essential to this plan and must include inputs from those affected.”
