Lootnick: “We will love the deals that we and President Trump are doing.”
The Minister of Trade Howard Lootnick said on Sunday that the public “will love the deals that we are doing and I am President Trump” as the administration is considered to be up to the definitions.
“Well, I heard in our survey of some of the economy’s perceptions,” Margaret Brennan told CBS News Lutnick about “confrontation with the nation.” “Sixty -one percent of Americans believe that the administration focuses a lot on the definitions, 70 per cent says the administration does not do enough to reduce prices and 60 per cent opposes a new tariff on imported goods.”
“This is the focus of your policy plan. How can you reverse the general opposition?” I asked.
“Oh, they will love the deals that I do while I am President Trump. I mean, they will only love them. As you know, the president discovered the correct answer, and sent messages to these countries, this will fix the trade deficit,” Lottenic answered.
He added: “This will come a long way to repair the trade deficit, and these countries have reached the table and will open their markets or that they will push the customs tariff.”
Trump’s approach to threatening and imposing definitions has sometimes shook the markets.
The President sent messages to dozens of countries that warn of the definitions ranging from 20 to 50 percent, starting from August 1, unless new deals are reached.
“For 80 years, American leaders allowed countries to definitions of our products and did not do anything,” Lootnick said on Tuesday in a post on the social platform X.
“Now under the leadership of President Trump, American consumers and companies will compete at a level stadium. America will go forward,” he added.
