The agency said in a press statement: “Today, the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) announced a decrease in force (RIF) as the agency continues the efforts of comprehensive restructuring,” the agency said in a press statement. “RIF will affect the Research and Development Office.”
A spokesman for the Environmental Protection Agency told an email that the agency plans to “cancel the search and development office (Ord).
But this does not necessarily mean that the agency’s scientific research will end.
The agency previously announced that it will move at least some sciences to a new office called the Office of Applied Sciences and Environmental Solutions (OSE). While Ord works as its own office within the Environmental Protection Agency, the oases will be shelter inside the official’s office.
The Environmental Protection Agency said in May that the “New Science Office” will carry research and the development of science at the forefront of setting the agency’s rules and technical assistance to the states.
Critics have expressed his concerns that transferring science to the official’s office would make it easy for political influence to establish scientific research.
The Environmental Protection Agency says it gets rid of “to improve the effectiveness and efficiency of the Environmental Protection Agency and align the basic legal requirements with its organizational structure.”
It is not immediately clear the number of employees who are left as part of the announcement on Friday afternoon.
The press statement states that the agency had 16,155 employees in January, and will decrease to 12,448 employees. He said that 3.201 took an additional 280 purchase that they would be expelled in a batch of employees who worked to address pollution in the lack of services and minorities.
This leaves 226 workers, but it is not clear whether all of these people will be left as part of the last agency’s step.
