BGS declares a strategic partnership with the Ija Sea at Villanis International Airport
BALTIC GROUND Services (BGS), a fuel and logistical services farm in international aircraft processing, entered a new strategic partnership with AEGEAN, the Greek flag. The company, which is part of the AVIA Solutions group, the largest ACMI company (aircraft, crew, maintenance, and insurance), will provide comprehensive ground processing services at Vilnius International Airport (VNO). The partnership began on Aegean’s first trip to Felninis this year on June 3, 2025, followed by the first departure of Felnis on June 4, 2025.
Aegean works on direct flights between Vilnius and ATHENS twice a week, every Wednesday and Sunday, using Airbus A320, with services until the end of October. The Vilnius-Althens Road was launched last June, and provides lithosal passengers to the Greek capital, while it was a gateway to the Greek islands and other destinations throughout Europe and the Middle East through Athens International Airport. It is especially related to travelers who plan entertainment or business trips to southern Europe.
“We are excited to support AEGEAN through our land handling services in Vilnius,” says Vitalis Dudys, head of the BGS Commerce Group. “This partnership allows us to enhance our presence in VNO, which has shown remarkable growth in recent years – the number of passengers has increased by 9 % to 4.8 million in 2024 compared to 2023.”
AEGEAN, a leading carrier in Greece and a member of Star Alliance in 1999, and during its 25 -year -old, has grown into a more successful and faster regional flight. AEGEAN 2025 includes 250 direct roads, all of the scheduled and scheduled trips (55 local and 195 internationally), and connected 162 destinations in Europe, the Middle East and North Africa. These roads are operated from the seven AEGEAN bases in Greece and abroad, with a fleet of 83 aircraft, including the latest Airbus 320 and 321 Neo.
“We are pleased to create a partnership with BGS with our second year’s start of our operations on the Vilnius-Althens Road,” Panos Nicolaidis, chief ground operations official in the Aegean Sea. “The services of professional ground handling and deep local expertise are necessary to ensure the efficiency and reliability of our operations. This partnership enables us to focus on our basic mission-to link Lithuania with Greece and the wider Mediterranean region, while constantly providing a high-quality service to our passengers.”
