Embraer highlights the possibility of air communication in Africa
Embraer (NYSE: ErJ/ B3: Embr3) has published a report on the infidels capabilities to enhance the interior of the African. The comprehensive study confirms the decisive role to improve air travel in advancing economic growth and development throughout the African continent and was revealed today at the Aviadev conference in Zanzibar.
Although Africa represents 18 percent of the world’s population, it contributes less than 3 percent to global GDP and only 2.1 percent for air traffic and global gospels, according to the International Air Transport Association (IATA). This contrast is essential in the air conductivity limited on the continent, and it is the large bottleneck in the development of African economic and aviation.
GDP in Africa is expected to grow by 3.8 % annually over the next twenty years, with RPK growth in revenue expected, by 4.4 percent a year, exceeding growth rates in Europe and North America. Although Africa has the lowest mile in the world to travel, its potential for growth is enormous. The development of the regional delivery will be a major driver of this growth.
Current communication challenges:
Currently, 64 percent of the markets are offered inside the African with seven weekly or less, indicating a great opportunity to enhance the connection. Many of the African original markets and discussions (O & D) are still deprived or not completely disadvantaged through direct flights, forcing some passengers to communicate through the distant axes, and sometimes far like Europe or the Middle East.
Strategic opportunities:
The Embraer 45 report defines the inside of the African that is currently not presented with a direct trip, which can maintain direct weekly direct flights, which supports regional economic growth. The best 10 roads can maintain three direct flights per week with a 100 -seat plane.
The report also uses the intra -African stimulus curve that has been developed by Embraer, based on the past ten traffic data, which is estimated at the expected passenger numbers when opening a direct trip. The data shows that the stimulus is different according to the market size. For example, the market that contains 50 passengers will witness a 40 % direct increase in the demand. For a smaller market like 20 passengers, opening a direct trip will increase the demand by 80 %.
An effective axis and increasing frequencies are also necessary to improve communication quality, providing travelers more flexibility and comfort.
Publishing aircraft:
The right -sized aircraft, such as Embraer’s E2, is necessary to develop communication in fragmented markets. These aircraft provide the costs of a lower flight and an increasing range, which makes them ideal for both short and medium -distance roads, and outperform new and growing ways.
The total experience of budget -filled passengers.
