The structure of the ice in space is neither order nor chaos –


The ice is one The main component in the world. There are frozen water molecules on comets, moons, planets, and in your drink that cool from summer heat. However, under the microscope, not all ice is the same, even if it is made of the same components.

The interior structure of the ice ice is a strange cosmology. Its molecules are arranged in geometric structures, usually hexagons that repeat each other. Ice on Earth is formed because of our planet’s temperature and pressure: the water here slowly freezes, and this allows its molecules to arrange themselves to the crystals.

But the ice in space is due to different conditions – there is water in the vacuum and exposed to severe temperatures. As a result, space ice is believed to be amorphous and lacks a distinct organizational structure like on earth.

This is a challenge for scientists to try to understand the formation of planets and the generation of life. A complete understanding of amorphous ice dynamics in space has the effects of beatings. For example, not knowing exactly how to freeze space water makes it difficult to estimate the ratio of water in other solar systems.

So the researchers are studying the ice to have a better understanding of how frozen water behaves from the Earth. Ice examples of comet stars, asteroids, and other remnants of the solar system will be useful, but until these cases are captured, scientists are trying to understand space ice with computer models and ice simulation on Earth. The more they read them, the more wonders show.

A recent report, published in the Physical Journal of Review B, states that the Amorf ice, which is abundant in the world, has some sort of order. This article states that it is probably composed of structural parts – crystallized areas, such as the earth, but only about 3 nm wide – which is chaos.
