Harmonious Greek inflation makes it easy for 2.6% y/y in April


The annual Greek annual inflation slowed down to 2.6% in April from 3.1% in March, data showed on Friday.

Consumer inflation of the month to month rose 0.5%

The cost of non-alcoholic food and beverages rose 2.1% years-to-year in April, with prices in hotels, cafes and restaurants rose 5.9%, data showed.

The required EU inflation is a component index used throughout the EU to measure inflation in a consistent way.

Elstat’s official statistical service also reported that the main consumer inflation in April fell to 2.0% from 2.4% in March.
