Institute of Chartered Shipbroker Accreditation Academy of Maritime Abu Dhabi as the Center for International Teaching


The Institute of Chartered Shipbroker (ICS) is proud to announce that his long time, Abu Dhabi Maritime Academy (ADMA), has been officially accredited as an International Teaching Center (ITC).

This recognition follows a comprehensive audit led by Krishnan Subramaniam Fics, Deputy Chairman of ICS, and Ali Canani Fics, Chair of the ICS Middle East Branch. This achievement marks an important milestone for ADMA, strengthening its role as a professional maritime education center in the Middle East region.

“The ADMA team is fully feasible for this recognition,” said Krishnan Subramaniam Fics. “Their dedication for quality education and professional development in the maritime sector has been proven throughout our old partnership. We are very happy with new opportunities for this accreditation will be open throughout the Middle East Maritime Network.”

Strengthen global maritime education

ICS supports the global community of students through its extensive branch network, recognized partners and international teaching centers, which include the main maritime centers throughout the world. With the addition of ADMA, the UAE now joins a prestigious list of this full accredited center, further expanding access to the global respected ICS curriculum.

Captain Muhammad Khurshid Khalid Fics, Director of Logistics & Survey at ADMA, expressed his pride:

Local impact, global standard

The Logistics & Survey Department at ADMA, led by Captain Khalid Fics, has played a central role in building relationships with ICS. Over the past five years, departments regularly have sent ICS accredited programs, including foundations and advanced diplomas.

Until now, 63 Emirates have completed the ICS Foundation Diploma, four have reached a follow -up diploma and one candidate has reached Full ICS membership (MICS). Over the past three years, ADMA consistently gave extraordinary results in the ICS Foundation Diploma exam.

Ali Canani Fics welcomed the Adma for the Global ITC family and emphasized the role that developed in the region in international shipping. “The Maritime Academy of Abu Dhabi as an International Teaching Center ICS marks a strong advanced step in strengthening the presence of the Institute in the Middle East. Note the success of their students and high -quality facilities reflects caliber partners who are close to progress in the period of time in this region.
