Renos joins the Saf Air France Klm Martinair program
Rhenus joined the globally running logistics provider to Saf Air France Klm Martinair SAF, where he invested in sustainable aviation fuel (SAF) to help reduce emissions in aviation. The initiative supports the company’s sustainability efforts while providing customers with an opportunity to reduce their emissions.
Participation in the SAF Air France Klm Martinair Cargo program, Rhenus, is a duty towards its customers for the sustainability championship in the logistical services industry. By investing in SAF, Rhenus does not play a proactive role in facing the environmental challenges of aviation but also supports the shift towards green practices. This commitment reflects the company’s dedication to providing responsible solutions and thinking forward, and contributing to the long -term goal of reducing emissions and ensuring a more sustainable future for its partners and the planet.
Air France Klm Martinair Cargo SAF enables companies to contribute to the use and development of SAF for their shipments, which are derived from renewable sources such as waste oils and agricultural waste. SAF volunteering to support Air France Klm Martinair Cargo efforts to expand its production and use only one of the ways that Rhenus leads a wider sustainability agend.
This approach is not only reinforcing Rhenus to reduce emissions, but also compatible with its mission to help customers enhance their sustainability goals. The SAF initiative is complemented by services such as the emissions dashboard, which tracks carbon dioxide emissions, and improving the transportation mode, including Rhegreen – an arithmetic tool that evaluates the types of aircraft and fuel consumption and distances to determine the most efficient options, allowing customers to reduce air freight emissions effectively.
“SAF is the cornerstone of lower emissions in the future of air freight, which helps us to achieve environmental goals while maintaining the efficiency and reliability that our customers depend on. This partnership reflects our dedication to facing environmental challenges to avoiding the front thinking solutions.” Frank Swart, Head of Sustainable Air Cargo Products Development at Rhenus Air & Ocean
“Since the aviation industry is working to achieve ambitious sustainability targets, cooperation like this with Rhenus is necessary to lead the wide -ranging adoption of sustainable aviation fuel. Together, we take important steps to reduce the environmental impact of air transport and accelerate the shift towards cleaner energy solutions.” – Robert Konin, Vice President of Europe at Air France Klm Martinair Cargo
“Joining Air France Klm Martinair Cargo’s SAF enhances our focus on sustainability as an essential element in our strategy. This cooperation highlights how companies in logistics and aviation can address climate change in a cooperative manner, providing solutions to customers to reduce their emissions and achieve progress made towards the most sustainable supply chains.” Jean Harnish, CEO of Rhenus Air & Ocean
